Dickinson Moore was founded in 2006 by Lee Parker and Steve Scott. Primarily retailers, we got fed up with yet another price increase, so we decided to do something about it.

In the Spring of 2006 we visited a gripper factory in China. Up to then they were only making gripper for the US market in the smaller 4 foot lengths and the quality could of been better, at first we figured we could do better but it soon became clear we would struggle to find a quality that was better than the first factory visited. We persuaded the factory to invest in new machinery to make the UK spec 5 foot gripper and after several months of what seemed like we were living on an aeroplane backwards and forwards to China trying to get the product right, the first container left China bound for the UK. The Gripper would be shared amongst our group of retailers around Kent and Essex.

We knew at this point if the gripper wasn't perfect, months and months of work would go down the drain. But with all the work we had put in with the factory we were confident it was a good product. Initial reports were good, the fitters happy and at last we had a Gripper that was good spec for the UK market and just as important a product that was at the right money. Now we had a product good enough for the UK market

Dickinson Moore Gripper can now be found throughout the UK and Northern Ireland and with our extensive UK stock delivery can be just a couple of days away.
